About Me

Hi, I'm Dilay Sevahil. I'm an English and Turkish speaking psychologist based in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
My Motivation
I came to psychology through its science. What drew me in wasn't the popular version of the field, it was the rigorous, evidence-based research underneath it. In a time when psychology is often flattened into social media soundbites, quick-fix advice, or anyone calling themselves an expert, I wanted to go in the opposite direction.
That's why I started with a Research Master's, where I spent two years training in scientific methods, study design, and data analysis. I've written research papers on topics ranging from psychological well-being and human flourishing to more complex presentations like personality disorders.
Now, in clinical practice, my goal is to bring all of that back to where it matters most: helping real people. Every client I work with benefits from a foundation built on actual evidence about how the mind works, not trends, not guesswork, and not generic advice.
My approach
Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all protocol, I focus on understanding the specific patterns at play for you, using a combination of CBT, and other evidence-based therapy techniques.
