Practical Information
Primarily international adults in Maastricht and the surrounding Limburg region, though everyone is welcome at my practice. Please note:
As I am a lecturer at Maastricht University’s Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience (FPN), I do not provide psychological treatment to students enrolled at FPN.This policy is in place to maintain clear professional boundaries between my academic and clinical roles and to avoid potential conflicts of interest or dual relationships. It is intended to protect the privacy, wellbeing, and interests of students. If you are an FPN student seeking psychological support, I recommend seeking care from an independent psychologist who has no academic role within FPN.
Common difficulties such as:anxietydepressionrelationship patternsburnoutchronic and academic stress. Also Identity and Self-Concept Difficulties such as:Questions about who you are and where you fitFeelings of emptiness,Feeling of loneliness,Low self-worth,The sense that something is missing even when life looks fine from the outside. For more detailed information on how I treat these issues, see Services.I don't currently work with bipolar disorder, OCD, eating disorders, or personality disorders. My practice is also not the right setting for severe, acute, or crisis-level concerns (active psychosis, acute suicidality, severe addiction, or anything requiring medication or inpatient care). If any of these describes your situation, I'd be glad to point you toward colleagues who specialise in them.
