Therapy for International Students
Navigating university life in another country can be exciting, but also emotionally demanding. Many international students begin to question themselves when they experience anxiety, loneliness, low mood, or overwhelming stress, but these experiences are more common than you might think. At Mosa Psychologie, I provide therapy in English for international students in Maastricht and across the Netherlands.
Common reasons international students seek therapy:
-
Anxiety and excessive worrying
-
Academic stress and burnout
-
Perfectionism and fear of failure

About Me
As a NIP-registered psychologist and a lecturer based in Maastricht, I understand many of the pressures that students face, including academic demands, perfectionism, and concerns about the social life. I aim to create a warm and collaborative space where you feel understood. My work is grounded in evidence-based psychology, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while also drawing from other approaches when appropriate. Together we aim to reduce distress and create a life that feels more meaningful and aligned with your values.
Taking the first step
Reaching out for support can feel intimidating, especially if you've never been to therapy before. Your first session is simply an opportunity to talk about what's been happening, ask questions, and explore whether working together feels like the right fit. If you're an international student looking for therapy in Maastricht or online in the Netherlands, I'd be happy to hear from you.
